Just wanted to let you know the show was
cancelled in San Diego at the Kensington Club on Saturday May 24th at 9pm.
Hopefully I'll get back there this year so, keep an eye out if you in the area.
A friendly neighborhood bar by day, the Ken flowers into a full-on hipster's
swingin' hangout by night.
A separate room, complete with a full bar and live music on the weekends, offers
an eclectic and noteworthy mix of local bands, from the B-Side Players to Red
Truck. During the week, catch any number of guest deejays spinning everything
form punk to hip-hop. For all times in between, the jukebox keeps things hopping
with, among other choice selections, a truly impressive collection of swing
standards.
Don't bypass the opportunity to increase your cool quotient with one of Ken's
quickly-becoming-famous martinis -- served cold, clean and exactly as you
ordered. Your parents did a lot of lame things in their day: Cultivating an
appreciation for this marvelous concoction was not one of them.
